Promoting, developing & advancing research & education in the anatomical sciences for the benefit of the public
We are a learned society founded in 1887 with charitable status. Our aim is to promote, develop and advance research and education in all aspects of the anatomical sciences.

About Us
Established by pioneering anatomists who recognised the need for a dedicated platform to support the anatomical sciences, the Anatomical Society has a long and distinguished history of championing excellence in both research and teaching. This is achieved primarily through publication of research, meetings and other events.

Anatomical Society Research & Publications
The Anatomical Society raises awareness of research involving science. Specifically, to promote research supported by the society, to promote research work conducted by its members, and to feature anatomical research published in its journals.

Anatomical Society Events & Meetings
Anatomical society meetings aim to ensure that we organise meetings that are aligned with our wider goals, inspiring the next generation and progressing the anatomical community through research and training.
